My serendipitous Toastmasters journey began with an invite to support a colleague's presentation, quickly evolved into a profound commitment. Initially a member by coincidence, I soon discovered a passion for public speaking and leadership that would transform my path forward. This unexpected opportunity ignited a journey of personal and professional growth, shaping me into a dedicated leader and passionate Toastmaster.
In my role as Vice President, Equities & Financial Products, I have honed my skills in navigating complex financial markets and delivering strategic solutions. This experience demands strategic thinking, effective communication, and a collaborative spirit - qualities that align perfectly with my leadership journey at Toastmasters. These experiences have deepened my understanding of sustainable growth and financial stability, enabling me to support and drive progress within the organization.
As a transformative catalyst, I balance my leadership role with a love for food, travel, and adventure. My diverse interests have enriched my perspective, allowing me to connect with people from all walks of life and foster a supportive community. My journey from member to leader highlights my commitment and passion for making a difference. Who knew volunteering as on-site technical support would lead to all this? Life sure is full of surprises!

My Journey

Member by Coincidence
In early 2013, I attended Chui Huay Lim Toastmasters Club as a guest by coincidence, and became a member by May. I joined my current home club, Ang Mo Kio C.C. Mandarin Toastmasters Club, since March 2014. My passion for the District 80 Toastmasters movement has driven me to become an active member of numerous clubs and Charter Member of six.

Served as Club Sergeant at Arms back in July 2014, and moved on to serve in all 7 roles, alongside 31 different teams. Led 5 clubs to achieve President Distinguished status when serving as Club President.

Toastmaster by Choice
Attending the 83rd International Convention held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in August 2014 was a turning point for me. The experience prompted me to fully embrace Toastmasters mission and values by becoming a spark that ignites the transformational journey of those around me.

Reflecting on my journey as a transformative catalyst, I see the power of embracing change and growth. My path, shaped by serendipitous moments, has led me to be a dedicated leader and passionate advocate for progress.
